Nik has a teaching background and most of the outdoor leaders we work with also work in formal educational settings.  This makes us a perfect choice to lead outdoor learning in schools.

Nik has been training with Learning Through Landscapes to be able to offer Consultancy to schools for "transforming Learning" outdoors.  

 

 

 

Outdoor Learning is the perfect choice for any school recovery curriculum.  Studies prove that learning outdoors improves, health and well-being as well as educational outcomes.  A study in scotland found that outdoor learning sessions meant that pupils were more active than in their usual P.E. lessons.  It is possible to double up on the recovery power of the outdoors by using creative and expressive opportunities-we can offer you general curriculum based outdoor learning AND we are experts in creative arts based outdoor learning.  With many years of art education and outdoor theatre experience we can design a bespoke package for your recovery curriculm.

 

Experiential Learning

As well as independent sessions in woodland and other environments we also run experiential outdoor education on school grounds or schools can visit woodland and other natural environment sites with us leading sessions.

We run training and CPD for teachers and staff, family camps, on site micro camps with hammocks and bivvy bags, as an addition to or a new way to hold your school camp.  

​

We are happy to design bespoke outdoor learning packages for extra curricular events or to help deliver curriculum content.  We have also successfully used outdoor learning for pastoral projects such as supporting emotional literacy.
